
Jordan L - Piano
Jordan began studying the piano when he was six years old and has been passionate about it ever since. During his studies, he would perform at the Calgary Performing Arts Festival (formerly known as the Kiwanis Festival), winning several first place certificates. After completing his RCM Level 10 piano and theory exams, Jordan has been instrumental (no pun intended) in helping his piano teacher teach and mentor their students. To further pursue his passion for the piano, Jordan wishes to complete his ARCT and LRCM diploma in the future. Besides music, Jordan is also passionate about coffee and all things outdoors, such as rock climbing, hiking, and camping.

Dave D - Piano, Theory
Dave has completed a Bachelor of Music (Jazz Studies) degree at Capilano University in North Vancouver and a Bachelor of Education degree in Secondary Music at UBC. He also has a Diploma of Music in Studio Production from Grant MacEwan University and has achieved Grade 8 RCM Piano with Honours. Dave’s musical experiences include singing lead and backup vocals, playing keyboards and bass guitar on worship teams and in cover bands, and has performed with the Cap Jazz Singers, Calgary Bach Festival Singers and Centre Street Church Choir. Dave has taught both high school and junior high music and has over thirty years experience as a studio music teacher and over forty years of playing experience. Dave enjoys playing both Classical and Jazz styles and continues working in the Popular genre.
Dave is comfortable with all levels and styles of piano for students ages five and up. He is also comfortable with teaching many other instruments to beginner and intermediate students.

Lauria K - Piano
Creative & engaging former RCM piano examiner with 30 years experience welcomes students of all ages and abilities.
Lauria has both her Performers ARCT & her Teachers ARCT, (the latter was awarded distinction). She studied with several top teachers both in Vancouver and Calgary and they have inspired a legacy that she feels privileged to pass on to her students.
Many of Lauria’s students have won awards and have gone on to a career in music. However, her greatest success is knowing she has instilled a true lifelong love for music in her students.
Music is such a gift and the journey of learning piano can include preparation for RCM exams, learning popular pieces or classic favourites.
Lauria brings youthful enthusiasm and especially loves to find the heart and soul in each piece, after all, music should be far more than notes on the page.

Malia K - Piano
Malia began studying the piano at age 4 with her mother who was a very accomplished piano teacher and RCM examiner. Malia proved a natural talent, studying both the RCM exam repertoire and popular music. Malia competed in the Calgary Kiwanis festival every year up to grade 8 piano, winning several first place certificates and scholarships. Malia was awarded first class honours with distinction on many of her RCM exams. Malia has acted professionally since the age of four and is an accomplished singer. She has performed at private parties and corporate functions since she was a young child. Malia is a talented composer who writes songs (both music & lyrics) for ukulele, guitar, and piano. Although she just graduated from high school, Malia has been teaching part time for the past three years and her students have loved her creativity and warm, positive manner.
Malia’s other passions include field hockey, travelling and spending time with her dogs.

Gabby A - Violin
As a professional violinist Gabby has an amazing legacy she enjoys passing along to her students. Gabby brings both experience and passion to her students that encourages them in their musical journey. Many of Gabby’s students go on to complete RCM examinations, as well as enjoy learning popular music or classic favourites. Gabby has played for the National Symphony Orchestra of Ecuador for 14 years and with the Calgary Civic Orchestra and the Ambrose Chamber Orchestra. Presently, Gabby is teaching Kindergarten with the Catholic School Board and she loves to see young students learn and grow.

Isabelle S - Piano
Isabelle discovered her passion for piano when she learned about her perfect pitch at the age of five. She completed RCM Level 8 with Honours and Distinction, earning third place in the Calgary Intermediate category and an ARMTA award for her top exam scores in 2022. She has performed at church events with over 300 attendees and is currently playing in her school’s jazz band as both a pianist and trombonist. She may even teach you some French words if you ask.
